Jasur Abdullin

Jasur is an enthusiastic Uyghur American professional who is currently building a career within the capital markets and investment banking industry. As an avid learner, he takes interest in economics, finance, politics, technology, philosophy, and history. Passionate about strengthening and growing the Uyghur community in the U.S., Jasur has been an active participant in various cultural, political, and social events in the Uyghur community. His main goal is to help other young Uyghurs build an excellent academic record and a prosperous career. During his free time, he enjoys engaging in debates, networking, lifting, hiking, reading, and spending time with family.

Varis Abdullin

Varis is a young professional working within the U.S. government contracting industry with a focus on corporate strategy and management consulting. He believes that UYO is the perfect platform for professionals to mentor Uyghur youth and prepare them for their career. He envisions that UYO will continue to grow globally and inspire youth by promoting the value of education, providing opportunities to enjoy Uyghur culture, building lifelong friendships, and empowering them to become leaders within our community. During his spare time, Varis enjoys spending time with his family, networking, playing sports, hiking, reading, and traveling.

Zulkayda Mamat

Zulkayda is a student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and currently pursuing a degree in Biological Engineering. She is passionate about fostering high-quality and accessible higher education, building impact and community-focused projects, and conducting neuroscience/psychology research. She is dedicated to fostering a community of intellectually-engaged, impact-driven, and tradition-conscious Uyghur youth who are prepared to become leading citizens of their communities. She enjoys writing about diverse cultural issues as well as impromptu adventures from her travels. During her spare time, she enjoys painting, having long philosophical conversations, and conducting random social experiments.
